A new Update

Just to keep you guys updated:

* i have been fixing a few glitches in bbs last few days nothing major just stackables and stuff but ive hit the motherload tonight i can now conquer the original rs interfaces and make the buttons do whatever i wish them to do.. there will be no more rubbish half arsed interfaces that i make because i dont know any better i can finally make the casino into a proper gambling game with interfaces if i get round to it..

anyways some of the updates you will see hopefully:

Client side:

- i have added in newer attack interfaces this includes a new special bar (small glitch with this atm) but it works for a lot more weapons and is done client side rather than server side

- working on a new skills tab that includes newer skills e.g. hunter, construction and dungeoneering even if we dont use these at the moment, we could perhaps make some for the future what with the new map data becoming available around the communities, or we could change them to make custom skills but lets leave this for the future

- the attack interface includes an auto retaliate which currently doesnt work but due to being able to edit the interface now i am working on one which will work

- the options tab can now be updated so it has more working features e.g. split private chat, chat effects, sound, sound effects etc.. you get the idea

anyways its late hopefully you can see the opportunity of this new found knowledge time to begin to exploit it lol

I'm just curious Matt... Will the gambling be like roulette, blackjack or poker? Or have you found a better solution?

But when making custom skills you should really think at least twice before doing anything. I know it's supposed to be unique, but I have to point at Yanillescape where they had or have (if they're still up) removed the slayer skill and replaced it with a new morphing skill. You started off killing rats. Then you got raw bear meat. After that you use the meat on an altar to get a scroll which you use with a ring to create a rat ring... Putting this ring on will morph you into a rat. The idea of the skill is ok but I think it's a little lame as well.
But summoning or hunter wouldn't be bad skills to bring in.

But... For now let's just focus on finishing all the things we already have on our schedule as a first priority eh?

lol i dont mean actually making custom skills altho if we thought it through enough we could do that.. i meant actually making a realistic version of construction, hunter and dungeooneering -- construction i wud need the map data for the houses, but everything else is fairly simple lol anyways im going away later today until nxt tuesday so il be back then

UPDATE:

- Removed anti-flood you now can connect instantly again
- found the real connection limitations for bbs and the only reason you cud still multi log with diff clients cause it was set at 5 clients now its down to 2 tell me if u think it shud be 1 per ip.

2 is fine, I might have to multi-train my accounts sometime.

Yea 2 is fine.

I'm still curious about the Slayer Exp system, you have to admit getting 72 slayer on v4 was harder than it should've been.

A higher exp rate would really be helpful, Matt.

Didn't he raise the exp in v4?

Dunno, still was pretty hard to level up though man.

- fixed auto retaliate
- fixed split private chat
- fixed save game problem and added it so tht it saves where u are before u dc or server dcs so u wont be logging in at home anymore guys

this is two examples of the use of the new button id scheme im using i was able to identify the toggle button id in seconds and then create a real toggle button for both of them despite them being new interfaces compared to v4 interfaces or early v5 beta interfaces

prepare to see a lot better interfaces in bbs
