Oh Em Gee, Ventrilo!

Q: What is Ventrilo? What is this?
A: Ventrilo is a voice-chat program. It has various chat-rooms available to you once you get on our server.

Q: I have microphone problems, what should I do?
A: When using Ventrilo for the first time, test out your microphone first to make sure you aren't creating any static noise, as this can be very annoying for the other people in the channel. Try opening sound recorder (Accessories>Entertainment) and recording something. Replay what you recorded and if there's static, check that your microphone isn't too close to your speakers and your microphone volume isn't too high.

Q: Do I need a mic or headset?
A: Yes. It's all voice-chat. I use a headset, much easier than a mic+speakers.

Q: What good is this? Why can't I just use MSN?
A: Suppose you're going PKing with your friends, or you've got a clan war. Fast communication is very important. You don't have time to switch between MSN - or even move your hands off the mouse to type in Runescape chat. Keep your mouse in your hand, and use a headset to voice-chat with your clan. Many many many people use Ventrilo (aka. "Vent") in hardcore PKing games like World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. Since PKing and Clan wars are getting pretty serious in Runescape, we thought it'd be a good idea to provide you guys with a Ventrilo server.

Q: Do I have to be PKing or Clanning to use this?
A: Nope, just come on and have a chat. There are lots of 'sections' for everything, even questing and partying.

Instructions:
1. Download Ventrilo 32: http://ventrilo.com/dlprod.php?id=1 - 64: http://ventrilo.com/dlprod.php?id=4
2: Install
3. Open it
4. Set up a nickname by clicking the little arrow next to nickname.
5. Click the arrow next to server. The ip should be 67.186.106.181. Leave the port alone.
6. Connect.
7. You're finished!

Ok, I made some clan request forms, so the clan leaders can get their own Ventrilo channels that either anyone or a select few can enter. I've added the premium and veteran channel. Theres a channel suggestion form.

Good stuff pal, can't wait to see BBs get released.

New players will find this wide variety of services and the server will be a great success.

The Ventrilo has merged with another community, thus hopefully we will see more activity and the server will be bigger. "Simple Gaming" is not only RSPS, but multiple Private Servers, including Counter Strike Source. The RSPS of Simple Gaming is not a 317 and thus we will not have to compete with them.
